Our Process
Each Cheeky-tiques piece begins with careful sourcing and evaluation, often selecting furniture with strong craftsmanship, character and history. Every piece is thoroughly cleaned to remove years of dirt, wax and residue, then repaired and prepared by hand. Surfaces are sanded or scuff-prepped as needed to ensure a lasting finish while preserving the integrity of the original furniture. Multiple layers of premium paint, artistic finishes, glazes and hand-painted details are applied to create depth, texture and a one-of-kind design. Hardware is thoughtfully restored, refinished or replaced, to complement the final aesthetic. Once the artistic process is complete, each piece is sealed for durability and protection, then finished with a hand-applied wax that enhances richness, depth and character. The result is a functional work of art-an heirloom-quality statement piece that blends craftsmanship, creativity and timeless style.
While each piece is carefully restored, it remains vintage at heart and is not newly-manufactured, so expect personality, rather than perfection.
